In Memoriam

RAC regrets to announce the death of Eugene Fiorentino, Sr., 65, a noted pioneer of analytical methods including the combination of hardware and software reliability measures and the development of methods for optimizing Environmental Stress Screening (ESS). Gene had retired from the Rome Laboratory Reliability and Compatibility Division in 1992 after 37 years as a reliability engineer. He held a B.A. in Mathematics and a Master's in Operations Research from Syracuse University. He is survived by his wife, six children, six grandchildren, and an enviable reputation for excellence in his field.
