You Think You Have Troubles?
RAC Editor Does!

In the Spring Issue of the RAC Newsletter, we printed an article entitled "You Think You Have Troubles?" which reported the execution of 18 factory managers in China for producing shoddy refrigerators. The Article was reprinted from another newsletter who credited it to the Wall Street Journal. The Wall Street Journal Inquiry Department informs us that the Journal never published any such story. They have been getting inquiries on it for about two years, and suspect the original source of the story may have been a parody of the Journal.

So, we have unwittingly perpetrated a hoax. Please note this and do not quote the story as fact.

Our apologies to our readers, and our thanks to readers Mr. Wu and Mr. Lupienski, whose questions led us to dig deeper into the source of the story.

RAC's Editor is recovering nicely from a case of acute embarrassment.
