Subject: PRISM 1.4 Reports
Message:

Some have noticed an anomaly in the Assembly Breakdown Detail Report when some assemblies have reference designators and some do not. The report may have the appearance of the assembly being a subassembly of itself. By adding a reference designator to each assembly and sub-assembly in your system, this anomaly will be corrected.

We are definitely working on a permanent solution and plan to have it in place for the next release of the software. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our users. If you have any questions or concerns regard this or any portion of PRISM, please feel free to contact the RAC for further assistance.

I find your Forum extremely helpful and valuable. Could you please suggest a way to download all the "Questions and Answers" you have published in your Forum as opposed to viewing them by "pages". My intent is to print all the "Questions and Answers" to a file for reference. Thank you in advance for your attention.

Subject: Examples for Comparison
Message:
Has anyone out there compared the results from projects you've done WITHOUT using reliability software to ones that you HAVE used PRISM on? I'd like to take a system that was analyzed without PRISM and compare the failure rates with what PRISM predicts. If anyone has a sample system that I could create in PRISM, please contact me so that we could exchange information and results. Thank you for your help.

Subject: Problems with PRISM Demo V1.4
Message:
I have installed the PRISM V1.4 Demo Version (downloaded Jun 17 2002) but I only get the 'Unable to connect to Common Elements Database, teminating...' message. My PC meets all of the stated minimum requirements (Windows NT4/SP6). What next?

Subject: what is it based on?
Message:
What are the underlying techniques and mathematical models that PRISM is based on? What methods are used to come up with a reliability prediction? I've seen Bayesian techniques mentioned quite a bit. What is PRISM built on? Help me out!
