What does "Instantaneous Failure Time" refer to and how is it used in the calculation of the infant mortality factor?

Instantaneous failure time is the time when all infant mortality failures have been removed from your system. Our data has shown that this time is 5 months for a typical system, however, we allow the user to change this value if he has data to substantiate a different time figure.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact me.
