Reference RAC Journal, Third Quarter-1999 Page 4 Pi_IM Equation: (1) When SS=0.5; Pi_IM(Instantaneous at 5 Year) = 0.7662 and Pi_IM (Average over 5 Years) = 0.4728. (2) When SS=0.9; Pi_IM(Instantaneous at 5 Year) = 1.3792 and Pi_IM (Average over 5 Years) = 0.8512. Why does Pi_IM Factor increase when Screening Strength (SS)was increased. High Screening Strength is supposed to give lower failure rate. Thanks.
