Now that PRISM has been in use for a few years, has there been any published acceptance of it by the Department of Defense as an alternative to MIL-HDBK-217? I am working in the nuclear power industry and frequently see the handbook specified as the accepted way to predict failure rates. I would like to have credible evidence that PRISM is accepted as an alternative approache.
