What is the failure rate generally acceptable for systems like radar detector, GPS, radio, CD, etc., 0.1% per year? Also, what is the operation life time expected for those systems, 2 hours/day for 10 years, something like that? Thanks.

Our potential airborne application is with a "twist-flex capsule" in a turret assembly. Please note the distinction between flexible circuit and lead wire. I'm well aware of the widely documented "arc tracking" failure mechanisms associated with bundled Kapton-insulated lead wire on aircraft. My goal is to assess the probability of arc tracking occurring with single layered flex circuits, not lead wire. Any help would be appreciated.

Specifically from 217 Rev C, and 217 Rev F to 217 Rev F, CN2.The question is what would be the anticipated deltas in failure rate between the different models. If specific information is not available, then I would appreciate any general comments relating to this subject. We would like to use this as a sanity check for the results we are obtainig.
