Subject: Edge Welded Bellows
Message:
How can the reliability of edge-welded metal bellows be calculated with the following inputs: number of convolutions; inches of weld (inner and outer); percent of full range flex motion; number of application flexures? for some reason (no confidence?), the industry is not overwhelming us with life test data.

How do we determine the Age (useful life) of electronic assembly / system. Is the Age (useful life)same as MTBF for repairable system. If not, how do we relate MTBF and Age.

Subject: Warranty Data
Message:
We are in the process of revamping our warranty and returns databases. In the process of this we asked the simple question of what can we use this data for.

We were thinking using it to update a reliability prediction model (parts count), but there are probably better ways. What can this data tell us and how do you effectively utilize it.
