Thanks for your kind help previously. -------------------------------------------------------- Allocation requirements -------------------------------------------------------- The Contractor shall allocate MTTR requirements for the three active CM time intervals for each subsystem. (sample) *system : railway rolling stock *subsystem -Couplers & Draft Gear : MTTR=2.2 & Mmax90%=4.86 -here active CM time=fault isolation time + remove and replace/repair tiem + functional checkout time --------------------------------------------------------

I know that by overspecifying the number of cycles will go into the useful life of the equipment so is there a guideline to tell us what's the limit? And for temperature ESS what is the acceptable rate of change of temperature?

Date posted: Mon Oct 14 6:01:07 US/Eastern 2002 Subject: reliability modelling for comms network (star topology configuration) Message: Hi, Recently, I faced one problem on the reliability modelling for the communcation network (for star topology configuration). The sinario is: 1. The network consists of 1 centre site + 4 remote sites A,B,C&D. 2. The configuration on all remoted sites are same. 3. Any remoted site failure doesn't affect the operation of other r-sites and centre. The question is - the system availability of this network shall consider : a. all sites (ie. 1+4), or b. 1 centre + 1 remote site. (ie.1+1) c. 1 centre + 2 remote sites in nCr (4C2) (ie. 1+2) d. others, pls advise. Thank you. Teng YL
