Subject: Typical MTBF Values
On pg 54 of the Reliabilty Toolkit: CPE, there is a table of typical MTBF values for computer equipment. Are these figures overly pessimistic? If so is there a source of information that will provide more accurate values. (Not all manufacturers are helpful when asking for this information. I would be grateful if anybody could provide me with the numbers.
Thanks in advance.

This is quite a old machine (486) and I need it for setting up linux server. time ago I had problems occuring in random moments with hdd (interrupt loose) I thint that this is somewhow related to this. If someone knows the answer, please answer soon. It's very important for me.
