Subject: Weight Averaging
Question- can you weight average reliability over time? For instance, if you have a system that operates at one reliability value R for a third of the time, and another reliability R2 for two-thirds of the time, would the reliability for one hour be = 1/3 R + 2/3 R2?

Subject: Cost of Downtime
I'm trying to find general values for the cost of downtime (cost of lost production or the cost of shutdown and restart) for large continuous processes like refineries, paper mills, steel mills, or petrochemical plants?
Does anyone have this type of information or know some resources I can tap into?

Subject: Neural network and software reliability
I'm looking for any information concerning neural network and software reliability (how to use neural network to estimate software reliability, etc..) If anyone is aware of current or on-going work in this area (public or private), I would appreciate it if you could pass along a source and/or point of contact. I'm, also, looking for any informations concerning "a posteriori" techniques to estimate software reliability. Thank you!

I have the MTBF of a single component. How would I calculate the total MTBF for 2 of these components if it is a 1 out of 2 standby redundancy.

Subject: Space Between Two Lines
Are there any guidelines or standards about the pad space between two high voltage lines? The voltage is around 180V. Thanks in advance.
