Message: Can anybody provide me with a suggestion for a suitable component to use in a MIL-HDBK-217 or Bellcore TR-332 reliability prediction that would cover a surface mount ferrite or ferrite bead ? Unless I have overlooked something, so far I have not found anything similar apart from possibly a chip resistor as a very loose approximation. Thanks, Richard.

I learned that one way to reach the target MTBF is by increasing the testing frequency. The formula I found to calculate the testing factor is MTBF/2 * target MTBF. The results seem dubious - can you validate this formula? Thank you.

I need to get a general idea of MTBF, MTTR and preventive maintenance requirements for this type of installation. Thanks.
