Subject: Solder Connection Reliability
Message:
Does anyone have information regarding the reliability of component to board solder connections in the following application? We are using ceramic cavity filters in our product, some of which may be up to 2.5" long. As these are soldered into a G-10 printed circuit board there is some concern regarding the expected reliability of the solder connections. Our product will be mounted in an outside, non-weatherprotected environment, in a variety of locations around the world, and possibly experience a range of temperature extremes between -30degC to +50degC in normal use.

Subject: ESS
Message:
I would be grateful for any information, book titles and references as to how I would develop an effective ESS program.
I would also appreciate any suggestions as to when a piece of equipment goes into volume production how to implement a tailored ESS program, i.e. sample sizes, the point where you screen batches rather than total output, how do you pick a batch etc etc. Thanks in advance

Subject: Optical Reliability
Message:
I am looking to gather information on optically induced damage effects in optical fibres and components. Ideally dealing with a wavelength of 1550nm and at power levels exceeding 150mw although any information on possible failure mechanisms would be appreciated.
