Subject: PRISM tool
The RAC products catalog indicates the avaibility of the PRISM tool that performs reliability assessments. Does this tool replace the old data handbook such as the MIL 217 ?
Is it possible to have a demo version, in the RAC web site for example ?

http://rac.alionscience.com/prism/Prism_Demo.html is the PRISM demo location. Other background information on PRISM is also available at this location. The PRISM software tool has seven new component models for calculating failure rates. These are: microcircuit hermetic and plastic, transistor, diode, resistor, capacitor, and thyristor models. PRISM also allows the use of other data sources and actual test or operating data in combined translation process. PRISM was developed to overcome inherent limitations in MIL-HDBK-217 and other similar models.
