I have investigated the reliability software tools for a long time.I think RELEX will be a good choice.I have a demo version. It can be compatible with CAD tools(mentor) you're using. This feature could save hundreds of manhours on large R&M analyses by reducing data input time and error. Its price is very reasonable. You can contact the local seller, they will send you a demo and give you other services.

I use Relex occasionally, and I believe it is a good software package. However, I have not used any other packages, so I cannot really make comparisons. What I CAN say is that I am very impressed with their customer service. They reply quickly when questions are emailed, and they follow up with a phone call to make sure any problems are solved. They notify their customers when there are upgrades available, which are easily downloadable from their website. They also distribute a quarterly newsletter which is informational.

I use RELEX 6.2. It has some bugs one involving auto recalculations. This was never resolved in this version. It was supposed to be fixed in version 7 but we could not get this version to print (the package crashed at the print command). Again this was not resolved so we don't use this version.

Shortly after my posting above, Relex Corporation contacted me wishing to resolve the issues and have been very co-operative. They have sent me an upgrade to version 7 which unfortunately we have not had an opportunity to evaluate. Hopefully this will be done in the next two weeks and I will post the findings. Allan

Further to my posting above, I have now performed a partial evaluation of version 7. It is working properly and gives the same results as version 6.2. I have had no problems with installation or printing.
