An excellent reference book is "Ensuring Software Reliability" by Ann Marie Neufelder. It is published by Marcel Dekker, Inc. and the ISBN is 0-8247-8762-5. This book concentrates on the practical vs. theoretical aspects of software reliability and is organized into four parts: Introduction to Software Reliability; Measuring Software Reliability; Improving Software Reliability; and Management of Software Reliability. Ms. Neufelder also teaches a training course for RAC on System Software Reliability. Information on this course can be found at http:rac.alionscience.com/PRODUCTS/course_summaries.html.
