Subject: Operational Parameter Translation
Is there an update to the the operational parameter translation method and/or translation factors published in both the Reliability Engineering Toolkit (dated 4/93) and the Commercial Practices Edition? Both documents reference TR-89-299.
As always, you inputs are appreciated.

Updates to the Reliability Toolkit, including the op parameter translation, have been considered but we decided to fund the Maintainability Toolkit instead. This toolkit is expected to be out for distribution very shortly. The translation information in the commercial edition toolkit is very old as is the reference document TR-89-299, Operation Parameter Translation". Caution in its use should be a prime consideration as field data or test data would be more appropriate and accurate. If we decide to update this operational parameter information, the new Prism" tool would be the general source for extrapolating the figures of merit.
