The Reliability Analysis Center data base does not include specific field data on the Motorola MVME Power Boards. However, the Motorola web site for this device has accelerated test data that shows an MTBF (mean-time-between-failure) of 190,000 hours (mean) and 107,000 hours (95%confidence). We do have field reliability data on 486 and Pentium CPU board gathered during our SELECT project. These data show: 1996- 486 CPU Board--102,000 hours MTBF 1997- 486 CPU Board--158,000 hours MTBF 1996- Pentium Board--88,000 hours MTBF 1997- Pentium Board--120,000 hours MTBF From these data, it appears that the lower confidence limit of 107,000 hours for the MVEME Power board is a representative estimation of the reliability.
