Subject: Gasket seal vs. double o-ring seal at low ( less than 4psi) pressure
Message:
Hi Does anyone have an opinion or data on the relative reliability difference between a gasket seal and a double o-ring seal at low (less than 4psi) pressure for a rectangular battery box that is 28" X 70"? Normally we always use double o-rings but at low pressure there is a concern that it (the pressure) is insufficient to get a good seal for either of the o-rings. Thanks for your time!

Dear Mr. Valerus I apolize for being late with this response, but your question is challenging. After review more than 50 abstracts on gasket and o-ring seals, I could not find one article that addresses low pressure (less than 4 psi)environment. I will sent you via email the abstract that I felt may be relevant to your specific problem. Thank you for your patience.
