Please let me know how the term Integrity is defined in relation to BIT and whether there is a specification reference that can be cited.

BIT = Built Integrated Test. I think you have confused "integrity" with "integrated". BIT mean that you study the integrated test in the system, i.e. the tests that are part of your system, that don't need external test support.
