Subject: Component Reliability Database
Message:
Since we are a relatively new company and have not gone into production with our product yet, I want to develop a component reliability database which will track system operational hours, failures, failure rates, etc., which I can then use to generate more accurate product reliability predictions. I have 2 questions: 1) Is there a canned program that I can buy which will do this for me, or will I have to generate this myself. 2) Once I establish this database, would anyone else be interested in this information?

Dear Sir, I know that what you ask is possible with CARE (see www.bqr.com), I think that it is also possible with Faulttree (see www.itemuk.com) and with IQ-RM (see www.apis.de) but the two last possibilities need confirmation. You can contact me for any other questions. Sincerely Yours Dr. V. Brindejonc Software Show Room Ligeron Institut Management and Risk control Tel : +33 1 69 35 52 61 Fax : +33 1 69 35 58 70
