How is Mean Swaps Between failure calculated ? This seems to be the new marketing term.

I believe that MSBF applies mainly to devices having interchangeable media. For example, it is the mean number of times a floppy disk can be changed in a floppy disk drive before the drive fails.
Anybody please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
