I had hope that these type of question would vanish. I retired 5 years ago from Boeing. 30 +years searching for a random failure never found one. There is no data which can be related to random failures in any hardware. Failure can an will occur. Virtually (sp) because of design problems, manufactoring pro. If a so called random failure has ever occured, how would you expect some to record the time the commponent operated. Think about ever morning when your mind is clear. It will take about 2 years to clear up your thinking. dmiller897@aol.com
