Please asked yourself " does a thermocouple or any othr harware have a generic failure rate. Of course not. There is no data at any level - there has never been any evidence of any validity of predicted failures matching the real world. failure occur. howver, they virtual are the result of design error, manufactoring error, human error. I have 30 + years of case toconfirm this. Go work you engineerin problems related to the thermocouple. Assume that it can fail for all the reasons mentioned. not based upon nonsenese
