Subject: Reliability and Maintainability Corrosion report
I'm trying to find a report that I once had written by the head of Reliability and Maintainability within DoD the subject of which was corrosion prevention. I believe it was related primarily to avionics. I think it was an SP- report. Now I can't find a trace of the report and I can't remember the name of the dept head who authored it. Any clues on how to find the report number or author?

In the RAC library, I located a report by W. H. Abbott of Battelle called Lubricant Effectiveness Study for Corrosion Protection and Improved Reliability of Avionics. The report contract number is F09603-90-D-2217;QP02 and was prepared for Warner Robins AFB. I do not know if this is what you are looking for, but the report is very interesting. Connectors corrosion can be totally inhibited with the right protective material.

Thanks. Close but no cigar. Do you have a contact at Battelle who is in Reliability and Maintainability? If I can get to the name of the person in charge (was in charge?), perhaps I can track down the reports he wrote. I appreciate your help.
