Subject: environmental stress tests
Message:
Help! I am an engineering intern at an audio electronics manufacturer, Crown International. My job for this summer is to write up a new set of Product Validation Specifications for our amplifiers which are in widely used at concerts, sporting events, and the like. I would appreciate any information that anyone could give me, including web sites and reference articles, that would point me in the right direction as to what kind of tests we need to perform (thermal shock, vibration, mechanical shock/drop, etc.), what the standards for these tests might be, and how to go about performing these tests. I have little experience in this area but am anxious to learn. Thank you in advance for any help.

The MIL-STD-810F is used for military product. For civil product, I recommend to use the IEC standard, namely IEC TC 104 offers all kind environmental testing stanfard. You can find the publications from the http://www.iec.ch/gnote4-e.htm/.
