Subject: Vibration Data
I am looking for any data that might be available regarding avionics and mechanical systems failure rates as a function of aircraft vibration. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

The best source of information that relates the vibration and other environmental parameters to failure rate of components is the study performed by the former Hughes Aircraft Co. called "Avionic Environmental Factors for MIL-HDBK-217", RADC-TR-85-91, 9ADA158843). This report should be available from the National Technical Information Services, Springfield VA. The telephone order desk is (703) 605-6000.
