Subject: Component Derating
I'm looking to upgrade my company's Component Derating Guideline, which was written over 15 years ago. Can you give me some guidance in this? What are the best sources for this type of information as it pertains to today's components?

The Reliability Analysis Center has produced a derating document for electronic parts. It is called "Electronic Derating for Optimum Performance". This document has all the latest information on derating and failure modes for 21 electronic or electro-mechanical component types. This document is available from our product catalog.
