Subject: Library maintenance
Message: I need to delete my component library because now i have a new import file with the SAME components ( 1700 part numbers) that are now in the library but with a new field ( the component description ).
When I try to import from this file (it is a text file) I receive a message ( zero components imported because there were 1700 duplicated records). Probably one field ( Industry Part Number ?? ) is recognised like a primary key and it’s impossible to duplicate.
So, how can I delete 1700 components ( no multiple selection is possible in the component library interface) to perform a new, complete, import.
Thank you

Message: Actually, there six key fields that PRISM examines when importing component information into the Component Library: Part Category, Part Type, Industry Part Number, OEM Part Number, Specification Number, and National Stock Number. PRISM will check for specific combinations of those fields and reject a new component if one with identical fields is imported.
Regarding the maintenance question, if you could email me directly, I will be better able to help you with the procedure.
