Subject: Models for assessing MTBF of armoured vehicle Road Wheels?
What is the recommended model for wear life analysis of roadwheels of an armoured vehicles? I have collected the cumulative mileage data when the road wheels are replaced so can i use exponential model? i dont think so because road wheels has a wear out failure mode. so what mathematically model should i use and how to use it?

To correctly analyze operating data from armored vehicles, one may need to perform exploratory data analysis, graphical analysis, goodness of fit analysis and analysis of variance. Assuming a distribution such as exponential is not a good idea without statistical evaluation. If you would care to send the detailed data set, we would be happy to perform statistical analysis and inform you of the exact characteristics of the data.
