The RAC product catalog has two software guides for reliability, "Software Engineering Process Group Handbook" and "Introduction to Software Reliability". Another complete source of all software reliability trends can be found in a book called:
• Ensuring Software Reliability, 1993, by Ann Marie Neufelder, Source - Marcel Dekker, Inc., NY. ISBN – 0-8247-8762-5
Finally, the New System Reliability Study, A06830, has a section describing the source of the technique used in the RAC PRISM reliability model.
