I am looking for a source of Weibull data – ie. values for Beta (not just MTTF) for mechanical components, either in database form, or from a predictive methodology. Can anyone tell me if such data/methodology exists, or if Beta values have to be derived from actual test/field data? Anyone's help is very much appreciated.

I would suggest that you look at Barringer and Associates, Inc. They have developed a table of items and include both beta and eta values. The web site is: http://www.barringer1.com/wdbase.htm
