I just passed ASQ CRE without taking any courses. I bought ASQ CRE Prime and CD, studied at home by myself. (I am a Reliability Engineer in a High-Tech company). My experience is you don't need to take any course for an ASQ examination, you just need to have related knowledge and experience

Linaxi said it right. Only CRE primer from ASQ is enough to get thru the exam. I also recommend Bryan Dodson Reliability Handbook. It really gives insight into couple of topics.
