The Reliabiity Analysis Center data bases did not have any specific storage related information for gas tube surge arresters, but the technical report section has an article by A. Bazarian called, "Gas Tube Surge Arresters for Control of Transient Voltages". In this article, published in the 1980 Electrical Overstress / Electrostatic Discharge Symposium Proceeding, Gas Surge Arresters are designed for 20 year "shelf" life. This design fact should still be applicable as the main failure mechanism for storage of these components is the seal integrity and construction techniques for seal integrity should have remained constant.
