Subject: premature clutch wearout on hi-performance auto

I'm investigating premature clutch failure at 25,000 miles on a high performance M series BMW, and am looking for supporting data that would validate that normal wearout is at 150,000 miles on their M series cars. I was given this number as normal weatout from a tech rep of the BMW car club, so it is not official. The vehicle was driven normally and not abused (raced), basic street and freeway driving in California. Where can I get data to support or debunk such claims? BMW has been unresponsive.
