Subject: Preventive Maintenance Interval
hi, i'm going to determine preventive maintenance interval and required man-hour of Railway rolling stock. Because it is new rolling stocks, there are much difficulty and risk in determining the interval and man-hour by top-down method not considering development possibility. So, as contingency i'm considering bottom-up method; receiving maintainability analysis data(including P/M type, interval, man-hour, required material, C/M man-hour, required material) from sub-system suppliers. Then based on these data, evaluating the feasibility of my determination. Is it right methodology? Can maintainability analysis provide these data with reliability? Thanks.
